In late 1911 the 1st Battalion was sent to Delhi
to take part in the Coronation Durbar, the battalation was required to
provide many ceremonial guards. The band and the hockey both won their
competitions, and men were presented with medals from the King
Courtesy of Neil, we have the Delhi Durbar Medal
Roll from the for the 1st Battalion (from the published roll as compiled
by Peter Duckers) available for research
