28th Battalion Territorial Force
On 1.1.17 the 45th Provisional Batt. At Blackpool in 219th Bde, 73rd Div.
Became the 28th Batt, the Batt had been formed in 1915 from Home Service
personnel of T.F. Batt’s. Jan 1917 to Maldon. Summer 1917 to Woodham
Mortimer, near Maldon. Oct 1917, to Southend.
Early in 1918 the 73rd Div, was broken up and the Batt was disbanded
at Southend in Mar 1918.
